In the last 36 hours, there have been five encounters in Jammu & Kashmir. A major anti-insurgency operation is on in Surankote area of Poonch since yesterday morning. Earlier, five army officials had lost their lives during an encounter in the area. Security forces have launched an operation against terrorists hiding in a village in Shopian district. Earlier, three terrorists were killed in Shopian, one in Bandipore and another in Veerinag area.
