"Every election is different. But they definitely have a slight impact on the general elections," said senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya. "PM Modi has won the confidence of the people in Gujarat and given them the gift of development. It's the outcome of trust and development that we are winning with a majority in Gujarat," he added. Mr Vijayvargiya also asserted that the Congress will win more than 40 seats in Himachal Pradesh, where the party is in a close contest with the Congress.
