In 1994, a young infantry officer posted in Manipur was sent on an operation to L Pabram village, where four Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) Isak Muivah (IM) militants were hiding. In the operation, DPK Pillay, who was commanding the troops had a dramatic encounter.
