This is some 30,000 cases more than yesterday but it is, of course, a marginal increase. Epidemiologists have been saying that this wave is going to look more like a plateau. There won't be a national level, speaks and trucks like we've seen before because the different areas of the country are responding to the wave differently. Right now, some areas like Mumbai and Delhi have only passed their peak and cases are now falling. But other parts are still increasing. So that's why we're seeing an up and down of cases at this moment. In the last 24 hours, 17.69 lock tests were conducted. This is also an increased from yesterday when it was 16 point for nine to about 1.5 lakh. More tests were conducted, which is a good thing because we need to be tracking this wave as we go along. Daily positivity rate is now 16.16%. It's up from 15.52% a marginal increase. Predators mean that more people are testing positive from across all of the testing that is being done. But it is lower than the weekly positive, which means that the daily rate is on a downward trend right now. So that is what we are hearing right now. The omicron wave may be nearing its end, but we do need to keep a caution up.
