Helpless and sentenced to death in a strange land, 17 men are waiting for some kind of reprieve in Sharjah. They were convicted of killing a Pakistani there in January 2009. Their families and lawyers have been fighting depserately, but with an outright rejection of an offered compensation, the road ahead looks dismal.
