Despite the huge haul of cash in Tamil Nadu, the highest in the country, that even led to the unprecedented cancellation of Lok Sabha election in Vellore, voters in Chennai managed to keep hope alive and cynicism at bay as they turned out in good numbers to vote. Among them many youngsters and first time voters who believe their vote will make a difference.
