Showcasing the disparity in how globally the Waqf doesn't enjoy the same kind of status as it does in India, Supreme Court Advocate and BJP supporter Desh Ratan Nigam pointed out that the Waqf is only mentioned in the Hadees and not Quran thereby questioning the level of significance the board may have universally.
