Historian and author Ramchandra Guha is out with his latest volume on Mahatma Gandhi's life. The first booked looked at Mahatma Gandhi's years in South Africa and ended with his departure to India. The latest one looks at Mahatma Gandhi's political battle from the time he left South Africa to his assassination in 1948. In this book, Mr Guha has relied on several new sources and brought out aspects of Mahatma Gandhi's life that haven't got much attention until now -- like his battle against untouchability, or the influence that BR Ambedkar had on his thinking. "I know (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi admired (Jawaharlal) Nehru," Mr Guha told NDTV, pointing out that PM Modi had a portrait of Jawaharlal Nehru at his Gujarat office.
