It has taken 4 years and about 2 months for the Left parties to call it quits with the Congress. The immediate trigger is a combative prime minister who on his way to Japan made it clear that India is definitely going to the IAEA with the nuclear deal. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, however, seems determined not only about the deal but also about the future of the UPA for the next 9 months.
