Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) on Friday gave its nod to an appeal filed by Bangalore-based Sasken Communication Technologies against SEBI ruling for buyback of the company shares. The SAT held that Sasken has the discretion to close its share buyback offer anytime subject to the company announcing the minimum number of shares it would buyback under the offer.
