During the discussion on the 2019 Union Budget, NDTV's Prannoy Roy spoke about K Chandrashekar Rao's simple approach to creating a budget for the masses. "Do not vote for me if you don't have a tap in your house," Dr Roy recalled KCR as saying. KCR segregated individual sectors of society, said Dr Roy, giving examples of incentives for shepherds and barbers. "Is development what is discussed at 30,000 feet and above or is it what people can benefit from, see and feel," questioned senior journalist TN Ninan.
