Inflation moderates to 12.34%

Inflation for the week ended August 23 edged down to 12.34 per cent, from 12.4 per cent a week earlier, led by a decline in food prices. The prices of food articles down were down 0.8 per cent. The prices of fruits and vegetables were down 2 per cent, while that of tea decreased 3 per cent.
