With reports suggesting that upstream oil companies like ONGC, OIL may have to share 55 per cent of the government's fertiliser subsidy, NDTV Profit tries to guage how the additional subsidy burden will hurt upstream companies. RS Sharma, former CMD of ONGC spoke to NDTV Profit about this, and also about moving to export parity pricing, and the risks that mechanism entails for upstream companies.
