While the consensus view in the market remains that the RBI will hold rates steady on Monday, Jayesh Mehta, Country Treasurer at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch, says that a small token rate cut from the RBI can't be ruled out. Mehta also says that the bond markets have been encouraged by the steps taken by the govt on fuel prices.
