India's headline inflation rose to 7.55 per cent in August 2012, higher than an inflation rate of 6.87 per cent recorded for July 2012 According to Indranil Phan, Chief Economist, Kotak Mahindra Bank, the headline numbers are surprising on a higher side as it was expected to be 7 per cent in August.
