Flying For The First Time? How To Survive The Airport Like A Pro

Heart racing, boarding pass in hand? We have all been there. Airports can feel like mazes, but once you know where to head (and when), it all starts making sense.

1. Reach Early

Arrive at least 2–3 hours before your flight. You will need time for security checks, baggage drop, and finding your gate. No one likes rushing through terminals!

2. Find Airline Counter

Check the display boards for your airline name and flight number. Head to the right counter for check-in and baggage drop. Keep your ID and ticket ready.

3. Check-In and Drop Bags

Show your ID, collect your boarding pass, and hand over your check-in luggage. Make sure your bag is tagged for destination before you leave the counter.

4. Security Check

Follow the signs to security. Place your phone, wallet, and belt in a tray, and walk through the scanner. Keep your boarding pass handy as it is checked again here.

5. Head To Your Gate

Airports are vast. Start walking early and keep an eye on the display screens — gate changes are more common than you expect.

6. Relax Or Grab A Bite

If you have time, explore airport cafes or duty-free stores. Just don't go too far, as boarding usually starts 45–60 minutes before departure.

7. Board Your Flight

When your flight is announced, line up according to your seat zone. Keep your boarding pass ready, find your seat, and buckle up for takeoff!
