Hearing-impaired student Lavanya Balakrishnan has topped the CBSE Class 12 board exams in the persons with disabilities category. A student of the Heritage Xperiential Learning School in Gurgaon, Lavanya Balakrishnan scored 489 marks out of 500 in the class 12 board exam of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

High Court Directs SSC Board To Pass A Girl With Learning Disability

Observing that students with learning disability deserve sympathy and grace from authorities in their performance, the Bombay High Court has directed the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education to pass a girl who was detained in SSC for her failure to obtain minimum marks in an optional subject.
