Jet Airways' Whole Time Director Gaurang Shetty has decided to move on from the company as his resignation has been approved.

Jet Airways chief executive officer Cramer Ball has resigned and the airline's whole-time director Gaurang Shetty will work as acting CEO in his place, Jet Airways announced today.

Private carrier Jet Airways and its 24 per cent equity partner Etihad on Thursday announced a 20-50 per cent special limited period discount on fares across 135 international destinations.

The airline's activities were since that time being managed by Director and Manager Gaurang Shetty, who will continue to lead it "till the requisite approvals are obtained and Ball assumes charge as the CEO," said a Jet spokesperson.
