Mehraboon Irani of Nirmal Bang Securities said overall market trend continues to be positive as macroeconomic picture of India remains strong. He expects earnings growth to accelerate going ahead.

Shares of Dalmia Bharat jumped as much as 3.22 per cent to hit intraday high of Rs 1,531 after company reported 78 per cent jump in its net profit in the June quarter.

Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries (DBSI) on Monday posted nearly 95 per cent jump in standalone net profit to Rs 56.20 crore during the March quarter on higher income.

Diversified firm Dalmia Bharat on Thursday reported more than twofold jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 114.86 crore for the quarter ended March 31, on account of higher sales.

Dalmia Bharat Ltd on Friday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 18.77 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015.
