Adani Power Q4

Adani Power shares declined over 4 per cent on Tuesday after the company posted a 71 per cent fall in march quarter net profit the previous day.

During the quarter, the company reported an exceptional income of Rs 657.56 crore mainly due to gain arising as a result of demerger of transmission business and subsequent stake sale of transmission business to Adani Transmission.

Adani Enterprises on Saturday reported a six-fold increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 2,847.82 crore for the fourth quarter that ended on March 31, 2014, boosted by gains from compensatory tariff for its arm Adani Power.

Adani Power today reported Rs 586 crore net loss for the fourth quarter ended March 31, primarily due to higher cost of imported fuel.
