Heavy overnight rain left several parts of Hyderabad flooded. The heavy rain caused the Hyderabad's Balanagar Lake breach its boundaries last night, causing huge flash floods in nearby areas.

MP Asaduddin Owaisi along with Minister for Municipal Administration in Telangana government, KT Rama Rao (KTR) inspected Appa pond at Gaganpahad on Saturday.

The heavy rain comes days after deadly downpour left at least 50 people dead and caused damage worth thousands of crores in Telangana.

Cyberabad CP Sajjanar reviewed the situation in flood-hit areas of Hyderabad today. The police official visited Rajendra Nagar, Gagan Pahad Village Pond, Old Kurnool Road and Ali Nagar area.

He requested residents to stay indoors in order to remain safe.

6-year-old killed in wall collapse in Turkapet area

A six-year-old child died after a wall collapsed at the Turkapet area under Mangalhat police limits, news agency ANI reported.

G.Ranaveer Reddy, Inspector of Police, Mangalhat Police Station, speaking to ANI over the phone said, "A 6-year-old child died after a wall collapsed due to heavy rains at Turkapet area, A case has been registered."

Telangana rains: Asaduddin Owaisi, KTR inspect Appa pond at Gaganpahad

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi along with Minister for Municipal Administration in Telangana government, KT Rama Rao (KTR) inspected Appa pond at Gaganpahad on Saturday.

The heavy rains had caused Appa pond to overflow, leading to large-scale flooding in the Gaganpahad area.

KTR instructed officials to carry out repair work of the pond immediately in coordination with the irrigation department. The local revenue officials were also directed to remove any encroachments in the pond.

Heavy rains cause flooding in Hyderabad's Chandrayangutta

Heavy flooding was witnessed in Chandrayangutta area of Hyderabad on Saturday. Earlier eight members of a family had been washed away in the floods, in the area, caused by heavy rains in the recent days.

Abdul Wahab, Chandrayangutta Corporator sent out a message to the people of the area, urging them to stay safe by moving to the first floor of their own or other buildings in the neighbourhood.

Rescue operations in several parts of Hyderabad as heavy rains cause waterlogging

Heavy rains lashed several parts of Hyderabad on Saturday night. The downpour was witnessed in Nampally, Abids, Kothi, Basheerbagh, Khairatabad, Goshamahal and Vijayanagar colonies. The rains led to waterlogging in parts of the state capital, including the Falaknuma bridge.

Rescue operations were carried out to provide relief to the people, in one such operation Abdullapurmet Police pulled out a car stuck from overflowing water with the help of a JCB machine in Rachakonda.
