Chennai: Crude bombs were allegedly thrown at properties of office bearers of Hindu Munnani, a religious organisation, in Vellore on Sunday

Petrol bombs were thrown at the house of Mahesh, an official, who has been provided security by Border Security Force.

While one bomb reportedly exploded on the roof of the house, the police managed to retrieve and diffused other bombs.

In second attack, a private bus owned by another Hindu Munnani office bearer TK Srinivasan was reportedly targeted.

However, no one was injured in the attack.

The religious organisation staged a protest demanding arrest of the culprits.

Police suspect a minor clash between groups of two communities during Ganesh idol procession could have have triggered the attack.
