Ayodhya Case Hearing Ends, Apple Trader Killed By Terrorists In Kashmir, And Other Big Stories

The main story in all leading dailies was the Supreme Court hearing in the Ayodhya case which concluded on Wednesday after high drama in the courtroom. Also, an apple trader from Punjab was shot dead by terrorists In Jammu and Kashmir, two days after a truck driver from Rajasthan was killed in the valley.
The lead story in the Indian Express is on the Ayodhya case, the hearing of which concluded on Wednesday. The Supreme Court verdict is expected before November 17, the day Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, who is heading the Constitution Bench, retires. The other big story of the day is the killing of an apple trader and his associate from Punjab by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. In a separate encounter, three terrorists were killed by security forces in Anantnag.
The Telegraph's main story was on the high drama that was witnessed on the last day of the Supreme Court hearing in the Ayodhya case on Wednesday. The lawyer of one of the petitioners tore a map that purportedly of the birthplace of Lord Ram. Also on the front page, an IAS officer who quit the service to protest against the clampdown in Jammu and Kashmir initiated a taped-mouth campaign to coincide with the 75th day of lockdown.
The lead story in the Times of India is on the Mediation Panel which informed the Supreme Court that Muslim parties have agreed to give up their claim on the land for the construction of the Ram temple. Quoting source, the paper listed the parties that signed the agreement.
The Hindustan Times also lead with the Ayodhya case story, highlighting the Chief Justice's reaction to the drama in the courtroom. The order in the case has been reserved, the paper said. The second lead on the front page is on the air quality in Delhi, which dropped to "very poor" and is set to worsen further.
