Taapsee Pannu, born in New Delhi, gained immense popularity after starring in south cinema. She rocked Bollywood with her powerful performances in films like Pink, Baby and its spin-off Naam Shabana. Taapsee was born in Delhi in a Sikh family. Taapsee, who is a Computer Science graduate, completed her schooling and college from Delhi. Taapsee entered the film industry after she featured on the reality show Get Gorgeous.

Taapsee, who was offered three films even before her debut hit the screens, appeared in seven films in 2011 in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. She was seen in films like Aadukalam, Vastadu Naa Raju, Mr Perfect co-starring Prabhas, Veera co-starring Ravi Teja, Vandhaan Vendraan, Mogudu and Doubles co-starring Mammootty.

In 2013, Taapsee made her Bollywood debut in David Dhawan-directed Chashme Baddoor. She also featured in three Telugu films Gundello Godari, Shadow and Sahasam and one Tamil film Arrambam that year.

In 2016, she won over the film industry with her powerful performance in the Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury-directed Pink. The film also featured Amitabh Bachchan, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang. Pink won the National Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues.

In 2017, Taapsee was cast in the lead role in Baby spin-off Naam Shabana, which won great critical acclaim for her. The same year, she also featured in films like Varun Dhawan's Judwaa 2 and war-drama The Ghazi Attack.
Taapsee Pannu began 2018 with Dil Juunglee and starred opposite Diljit Dosanjh in sports-drama Soorma. Later, she featured in two Hindi films - courtroom drama Mulk, co-starring late actor Rishi Kapoor, and Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyaan, in which she co-starred with Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal.

Taapsee Pannu's Badla marked her first film of 2019. She co-starred with Amitabh Bachchan and Amrita Singh in the film, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Her next film was Game Over, which released in two languages - Hindi and Telugu. On Independence Day, her film Mission Mangal opened in theatres.

Saand Ki Aankh, starring Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles, released in 2019. The film was based on the lives of sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar.

Taapsee Pannu kickstarted 2020 with Anubhav Sinha's Thappad. The film, which also starred Pavail Gulati and Dia Mirza, received positive reviews from film critics. Taapsee received the Filmfare Award in the Best Actress category this year for her work in Thappad.

This year, Taapsee's much-awaited crime-thriller Haseen Dillruba was released on Netflix. Taapsee co-starred with Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane in Haseen Dillruba. The film was directed by Vinil Mathew, and it received mixed response from the audience.

Taapsee added another feather to her hat this year as she launched her production company Outsiders Films in collaboration with Pranjal Khandhdiya. Not just that, Taapsee also announced her first film as a producer, which is Blurr. Besides co-producing the film, Taapsee will also star in it.
