YouTube has gone into "Rewind" mode looking back on the year gone by. Like
Instagram and
Twitter, the video-sharing platform too has shared its list of top trending videos from past year and it is
topped by Luis Fonsi's Spanish song "Despacito". The song also happens to be YouTube's most watched video of all times with 4.4 billion views. The top trending videos are not necessarily the most watched videos but are compiled based on YouTube's algorithm that takes into account views, shares, comments, and likes. The list for India's top trending videos is out too and chances are you may have seen many, if not all, the videos from the list. Comedy sketches, DIYs and an explosive interview with actor Kangana Ranaut, the list is largely dominated by
desi content with an exception of a dance video choreographed to Ed Sheeran's ever-popular "Shape of You".
