The suspect jumped behind the counter and grabbed sweets before offering them to the customers
Cops in Houston, Texas are looking for three suspects who broke into a doughnut shop and got away with cash, smartphones. But one of the suspects added a sweet (read- strange) twist to the robbery for he handed out treats to victims before getting away. Ironically, he robbed the same people of their smartphones a few minutes before.
Police have released surveillance footage of the three masked robbers who entered the doughnut shop on October 16, with one of them brandishing a handgun. Over the next few minutes, two suspects order an attendant to open the cash register and hand out the money while the third asks two customers to give him their phones. After getting hold of their phones, the third suspect jumps behind the counter and gestures towards the customers, presumably talking to them.
And then something weird happens.
The suspect grabs a treat from the shelf and casually gives them to the customers before all of them rush out of the eatery.
The details of the suspect's conversation with the customers aren't clear but we doubt the sweets are any consolation to getting robbed. As for the suspects, they remain at large and are wanted for "aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon".
