Meerut:
Two persons were allegedly shot dead in separate incidents in the district, police said today.
Muhammad Shabbeer(35) was killed by some unidentified miscreants last evening when he had gone to buy vegetables from the market, police said.
According to police, at least 12 criminal cases are registered against Shabbeer. Prima facie, it appeared that old enmity could be the reason behind the incident, they added.
In a separate incident, a person was shot dead by some robbers when he tried to stop them from escaping after looting a house, they said.
Kapil, a resident of Arnawali area in the district, was shot at by the robbers yesterday, leading to his death on the spot.
Both cases are bieng investigated, police added.
