Bengaluru: With less than 10 days to go for the high-stakes elections in Karnataka, the BJP and the Congress have upped their campaign blitzkrieg. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his team of star campaigners are holding rallies and campaigns across the state which will go to polls on May 12. PM Modi, who officially launched his Karnataka campaign on Tuesday, is holding 21 rallies before elections. He shared stage with BJP's prospective Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa on Tuesday.

PM Modi addressed a rally in Kalaburag, while Congress President Rahul Gandhi was speaking in Bidar. PM Modi held rallies in Gulbarga, Ballari and Bengaluru as well and Rahul Gandhi held corner meetings with people in Aurad, Bhalki, Humnabad. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath too will campaign in Karnataka for the next three days and hold 11 public meetings.

Congress Has Made Bengaluru A "Valley Of Sin", Says PM Modi On His Third Rally

PM Modi arrived in Bengaluru for his third rally of the day. Talking about Bengaluru, he said the Congress government had ruined the reputation that was built by the city's youth and good samaritans.

PM Modi said that the people had made Bengaluru into a "Silicon Valley", but the Congress government had turned it into a "Valley of Sin".

He also said that from being called the "Garden City", Bengaluru had under Congress rule, become a :Garbage City".

PM Modi said that Sonia Gandhi had promised a package of Rs 3,000 crores to Ballari, but had forgotten her promise.

He said that the cenre had introduced the Fasal Bima Yojana.

He said that the BJP had taken a "decision to give justice for OBCs", but that the Congress "went out of its way to oppose it".

PM Modi said that Congress had promised Dalit leader Mallikarjun Kharge as its chief ministerial candidate, but was "sidelined as soon as the elections were over".

PM Modi said that the BJP government gave India a Muslim President and a Dalit president as well.

He said that the Congress "thought BJP is a party for Brahmins."

PM Narendra Modi spoke in a rally at Karnataka's Ballari. In the rally, he said that the Congress' "last fort is also going to be demolished."

He said that the centre had put Hampi's picture on Rs 50 notes, while the Congress had said that only thieves had lived there.

PM Modi said that the Karnataka government is 'Sidda Rupaiya Sarkar'. He said that Karnataka is in debt.

He said that the "Rupaiya Sarkar" is distributing tickets. He said that the "Rupaiya government" in Karnataka has not been able to come up with a proper mining policy.
