Kanpur:
Four police personnel including a senior police officer have been found guilty in connection with the alleged custodial injuries sustained by a Kidwainagar jail inmate, police said.
About a month ago, Sunny, who was arrested and brought to Kidwainagar police station on charges of vehicle theft had allegedly slit his throat with a blade during police interrogation, police officials said.
Following the incident, an inquiry was initiated by the Deputy Inspector General Rajesh Rai into the incident, said police.
The inquiry report indicted Station Officer Rathore and three other constables in the incident, they said.
An FIR under IPC section 342 has been lodged against the accused officials and further investigations are on in the case, said a police officer.
