TSPSC Teacher Recruitment 2017 To Begin Soon For Above 9000 Posts

New Delhi: Telangana government is all set to begin massive recruitment for the post of Secondary Grade Teachers, School Assistants, Language Pandits and Physical Education Teachers in the State. Guidelines for the recruitment have been released and official notification for applicants is likely to come out within October end. The exam will be conducted by Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC). Though exact vacancy number is not known, it is expected that the government will recruit close to 9000 teachers in the State including new districts formed out of Warangal, Nizamabad and Adilabad.

'The committee would study the modalities of the exam once the vacancy list was passed on to them, and decide the notification date. The time to be given for the exam would also be discussed at the meeting. Generally, 40-day period is considered between the last date of applications and the exam but it would also depend on the number of applicants, likely to be in lakhs, and the arrangements to be made for them,' said TSPSC Chairman Ghanta Chakrapani to The Hindu.

This is the first time, TSPSC will conduct the examination.

Department of School Education (DSE), Hyderabad will give the vacancy details to the Commission and later TSPSC will get into the other procedures of setting the syllabus and test.

'Out of the total marks of Teacher Recruitment Test, 20% weightage shall be for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) score for all the posts, except for School Assistant (Physical Education) and Physical Education Teacher,' reads the official statement.
