New Delhi: Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will conduct written test for recruitment to the posts of Clerks and Assistants on 15 October. Call letters have been sent to the registered candidates by email. For those candidates who had opted for Delhi as the exam city, ISRO has released an important notification which states that, 'due to large number of applications received for New Delhi centre, some candidates will be allocated to the new examination centres. Efforts are being made to accommodate them to the nearest city/ place (Bhopal/ Lucknow/ Chandigarh) as far as possible.

The exam will comprise of objective as well as descriptive type questions. While objective questions will come from general knowledge topic including general intelligence, reasoning ability, general awareness' general English/ grammar, arithmetic and computer literacy.

The descriptive questions will include precis writing, comprehension, report writing, letter writing and essay writing.

The written test will be held at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram.

A total of 313 vacancies are open for recruitment in various ISRO Centres/ Units/ Autonomous Bodies/ CPSUs, across India. The posts are temporary, but likely to continue. 'Posts are reserved for meritorious sports persons, as per Govt. of India orders.'

Based on the performance in the written test, candidates will be shortlisted for skill test, depending on the number of vacancies notified, the schedule and venue of which will be notified. Those who secure minimum 50% marks each in both objective and descriptive type questions in the written test will be considered for shortlisting for 'Skill Test(Computer Literacy Test)'.
