Mumbai:

Actor-turned-columnist Twinkle Khanna today came out with a follow-up tweet after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's comments about her criticism of him in an interview with her husband, actor Akshay Kumar, two days ago.

The Prime Minister had joked that Akshay Kumar must be leading a relatively "peaceful" life at home since Twinkle Khanna vented all her anger against him on Twitter.

Twinkle Khanna, who goes by the handle "mrsfunnybones" on Twitter, had a repartee. "I have a rather positive way of looking at this - Not only is the Prime Minister aware that I exist but he actually reads my work," she tweeted on Wednesday.

This morning, Ms Khanna tweeted, "Nothing more-Nothing less - A response does not translate into an endorsement. The only party I am likely to be a part of at this point would involve liberal amounts of vodka shots and a hangover the next day :) #PartyingShot

Ms Khanna's latest tweet comes after many on Twitter wondered whether she is looking at entering politics.

An active social media user, Twinkle Khanna, in 2017, had criticised the Narendra Modi government for imposing hefty taxes on sanitary pads.

On April 21, she commented on the BJP's Mathura candidate for the national election, actor-turned-politician Hema Malini driving a farm tractor with fans attached to it to keep her cool in the blazing sun."Trying to paint 4 pictures in a 1000 words and if the BJP claim the cosmic black hole as their own-you know who to blame," Ms Khanna tweeted.

Twinkle Khanna's first book "Mrs Funnybones" sold over one hundred thousand copies, making her India's highest-selling woman writer of 2015.

PM Modi shared a "non-political" conversation with Akshay Kumar at his 7, Lok Kalyan Marg residence in Delhi. In the interview, PM Modi spoke about various aspects of his childhood and his journey before he came to power.
