Narendra Modi will celebrate his 68th birthday in his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi. The preparations for his visit are currently underway in the town. The prime minister will spend the day with children of a primary school aided by a non-profit organisation. In Tamil Nadu, BJP celebrated PM Modi's birthday by gifting gold rings to newborns.
According to officials, he will later pray to Lord Shiva at the Kashi Vishwanath temple and later watch a film "Chalo Jeete Hain" inspired by his life along with a few school children. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited his 98-year-old mother, Hiraba, on the outskirts of Gujarat's Gandhinagar on his last birthday, before going on to dedicate the Sardar Sarovar Dam to the nation.

was unveiled on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 68th birthday on Monday by Union Minister Prakash Javadekar and his cabinet colleague Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.
A coffee-table book titled "Narendra Modi: A Charismatic & Visionary Statesman" was dedicated to the prime minister. The foreword of the book by international writers and jurists Adish C Aggarwala and Sarah J Marchington, is written by BJP president Amit Shah.
Peppered with rare photographs of PM Modi, be it of his childhood or his meetings with eminent personalities from across the world, the book also offers readers a peep into the everyday regime of the prime minister from his morning tea till the "time he retires for the day at 1 am and is awake at 4am". The 672-page book, weighing 5 kilograms on Japanese matte art paper, claims to present an objective picture of the country's 14th prime minister Narendra Modi.
