Congress lawmakers arrive for breakfast at G Parameshwara's home

Even as the Congress and JDS held separate meetings in a bid to save their coalition government in Karnataka, another lawmaker has handed in his resignation today. H Nagesh, an independent lawmaker, said he was withdrawing his support to the ruling coalition in his resignation letter. He has also written to the Governor extending his support to the BJP. There are reports that two more lawmakers are ready to exit. Congress ministers today met at G Parameshwara's home while HD Deve Gowda called a meeting of top JDS leaders at his home.

BJP's BS Yeddyurappa says: "Two independent MLAs met the Governor and gave a letter that they will support the BJP... now we are 105 plus 2 i.e 107. Even when they have lost majority, Kumaraswamy is speaking like that, people are observing everything. Let us see and wait." 

His comment came after Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy said that the "government will run smoothly."
