Rahul Gandhi addresses "Jan Akanksha Rally" At Gandhi Maidan Today
Congress president Rahul Gandhi addressed the 'Jan Akanksha Rally' today at Patna's historic Gandhi Maidan. The Congress is holding a rally at the venue for the first time in three decades.
Earlier, Mr Gandhi's father and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had addressed the rally at the same ground.
Bihar alliance partners such as Tejashwi Yadav and Jitan Ram Manjhi were among those present at the event. Congress is part of Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) in Bihar which comprises of RJD, RLSP and HAM. Mr Gandhi travelled to Patna along with Congress chief ministers Kamal Nath, Ashok Gehlot and Bhupesh Bhagel.

The first thing I did, after assuming the charge as the chief minster, was waiving off the farm loan. Today is February 3, and till March 3 we will waive off the farm loan of 30 lakh farmers. After March 3, we will waive off farm loan of rest of the 15 lakh farmers, said Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Tejashwi Yadav said,"Rahul Gandhi has ability to be the Prime Minister. We should all unite and then only we can defeat BJP."

Congress President Rahul Gandhi will address a rally today. This would be his first public rally in Patna after he took over as the Congress party president. Nearly 3,000 police personnel, including constables, sub-inspectors and officers of DSP rank would be deployed in the city.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi along with Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath and others are travelling to Patna for a rally at Gandhi Maidan today.
