After questioning the principal of Ryan International School in Gurgaon, some teachers and senior management people were detained for questioning today in the murder and sexual assault case of a 7-year-old child. The security of the school came under severe scrutiny after a bus conductor slit the child's throat last week in the school's washroom in broad daylight. The school management has said it is "cooperating to our fullest" with the police investigations and hoped that the guilty would be given the severest punishment as per the law.

Seven-year-old Pradyuman Thakur's face smiles from the colourful "family tree" on the notice board of Classroom 2-B at the Ryan International School in Gurgaon. Next to the class is the toilet where he was found on Friday with his throat slit, allegedly by a school bus conductor who tried to sexually assault him. The floor and the wall opposite the toilet are still stained with blood.
"Police verification of staff must in Delhi schools"
Police verification of all staff is a must in Delhi schools, said Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. The minister also said that the information of people working in each and every department in schools needs to be updated every month, whether there is a change of staff or a change in the information of an old staff.
Top officials arrested
Two top officials of Ryan International School have been arrested while the acting principal has been detained for questioning in connection with the murder.

Bihar Chief Minister requested Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to take strict actions against culprits of 7-year-old's murder in Gurgaon's Ryan International school.

School will reopen on Wednesday for senior classes that is from class 6 to class 12 will reopen since exams have scheduled for them. However, the school will remain closed for primary classes until any further notice. The child who was murdered studied in the primary wing of the school.
