New Delhi:

Siddhant Chaturvedi's social media feed is the perfect place to drive away your mid-week blues. And on Wednesday, the actor served a throwback image like no other. The photo, which was shared on Instagram, features Siddhant in an orange T-shirt. The actor is seen sticking out his tongue mischievously while winking at the camera. Well, if you can manage to get your eyes off the photo, we would recommend you take a look at Siddhant's caption. "Cast me in a high school musical. Thanks," it read. The caption got us thinking and if the throwback photo is anything to go by, we have no doubts that he would seamlessly fit into one of the most popular teenage musical film franchises High School Musical. We are going to take one step further and say that Siddhant would even make a perfect Troy Bolton, played in the film by Hollywood actor Zac Efron.

And it looks like fans and colleagues of the actor, too, approved of the photo. Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, who directed Siddhant in his Bollywood debut Gully Boy,  was one of the first to comment on the image. Using no words, she left just a heart and a smiling face emoticon in the comment section. Singer Jonita Gandhi, too, seemed to agree with Siddhant's idea and wanted to be a part of this musical universe. Leaving a comment, she said, "Me too."

Fans were all on board with the idea as well. One follower wrote, "Brb starting a petition for the same thanks." Another fan referenced the Zac Efron character and wrote, "Troy Bolton is shaking." Also, do not miss the flood of heart and fire emojis in the comment section.

Take a look at the picture:

We wonder if the secret to the actor's chiselled looks is his dedicated Yoga routines. The actor gave us a sneak peek of it on the occasion of International Yoga Day by posting a photo of himself in an inverted pigeon pose. Sharing the image, he wrote, " “Jisne bola Yoga se nahi hoga, kasam se life mein bohot bhoga (Whoever said that it will not happen through Yoga, I swear he will suffer a lot in life). ”

Siddhant made his acting debut with the series Life Sahi Hai and followed it up with Inside Edge. He will be seen next in a Shakun Batra film with Deepika Padukone and Ananya Panday. He also has Phone Bhoot with Katrina Kaif and Ishaan Khatter in the kitty.
