Salman Khan Reportedly Asked For These 3 Changes In Race 3

This will be Salman Khan's first film in the Race franchise.

Highlights

  • Salman Khan has replaced Saif Ali Khan in Race 3
  • Race 3 will be directed by Remo D'Souza
  • The film reportedly also stars Jacqueline and Bobby Deol
New Delhi: Salman Khan has replaced Saif Ali Khan in Race 3 but the cost has been pretty hefty for director Remo D'Souza - no we are not talking about Salman Khan's fees for the film. Salman Khan reportedly had three conditions after he signed the dotted line for the Ramesh Taurani-produced film. Salman Khan asked the makers to tone down the intimate scenes, add more humor to the script and revise the film's drugs-peddling angle, a DNA report stated. Looks like, Race 3 makers Salman Khan Ratan Dhan Payo. Salman Khan, 51, has solid reasons to back all the three changes he's asked to be made in the film.

As for the intimate scenes, which Salman Khan has kept to minimal in all his films so far, a source told DNA that the actor wants the film to cater to family audiences. "He doesn't want them squirming in their seats. He doesn't want even one steamy scene or something that people in the family cannot watch together," the source said.

Of the scene, in which Salman Khan's character is shown dealing with drugs, the DNA source said: "Salman does not want to set a bad example for his fans, especially kids and youngsters who follow him. Therefore, the drug-peddling angle in the story too has been nixed." Salman Khan has rarely played a negative role in the film. In his 2014 film Kick he played a quasi-villain, which was also for a 'noble' cause. Salman Khan also made his corrupt cop character in Dabangg look cool and adorable.

And lastly, Salman Khan asked the filmmakers to make the script as funny as possible because this time Anil Kapoor won't be there to take care of that. Only Anil Kapoor's character's sense of humour (all double entendres) would have clashed with Salman's thought of making Race 3 for 'family audience' and for not set ting a 'bad example.'

The previous two Race films were directed by Abbas Mastan and featured Saif Ali Khan in lead role. Race 3 reportedly also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Bobby Deol.
