Mothers are truly special, and reminding us of this truth is Rakul Preet Singh. The actress, on Sunday, shared a lovely Instagram post on her mother's birthday and it is the definition of heartwarming. And adding to the sweetness quotient, the actress sent the Internet into a collective meltdown by sharing a cute throwback photo from her childhood. The photo shows Rakul Preet dressed in a frock as her mother carries her in her arms. The actress, who is too small to pose for the camera, is happily gazing into the distance. Rakul's mother is seen beaming as she hugs her little one. Sharing the image, Rakul penned a special note for her mom.

The actress wrote in the caption, "Happy happy birthday mommy! I don't have words to express how grateful I am to you for all that you have done for us. I learn from you how to love, be selfless, be caring and most importantly how to balance life beautifully. Love you so much! And thank you for being you... happy happy." She also splashed emojis of kisses and hearts for her mother dearest.

Despite all the success that has come her way, Rakul Preet is close to her roots and her social media posts are proof of this. So this Father's Day, she compiled some of her memories with her father and put them up for her fans to see. Here's the video showing "the man behind this woman," as she wrote in her caption.

Another photo from her childhood came up during Mother's Day. She wrote in the caption, "I hope and wish I can be half as loving as you are. I love you to the moon and back. And yes you must know that we celebrate you every day"

The family girl also often spends time with her younger brother, actor Aman Preet Singh. The actress wished him on Brother's Day with a perky photo and caption. She said, "You are my madness, my entertainment, my strength and my Mowgli! Love you."

The actress will be seen next in Anubhuti Kashyap's Doctor G. The film features Ayushmann Khurrana opposite her.
