New Delhi: Heavy monsoon rain brought Mumbai to a halt on Tuesday. Traffic stopped due to the incessant downpour and many people were stranded in the water-logged streets. Bollywood celebs have shared their concern on social media and asked the people of Mumbai to stay indoors and safe. Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, Anupam Kher and R Madhavan and other celebrities have also posted about the Mumbai rains on Tuesday night. In a series of tweets, Big B has lauded the efforts of Mumbai Police and the people for helping each other out. "Lashing rain... flooded, water logged... but so admirable to see Mumbai Police, common man helping out... true Mumbaikar Spirit," he tweeted. See his other posts too.
 
 
 
  Dilip Kumar, who was recently discharged from hospital, prayed for the safety of people. "Watching the rains from my window all day. I am praying for your safety and health in this downpour," Dilip Kumar tweeted.
 
 

Last night, actors Anupam Kher and R Madhavan got stranded in the water-logged streets of Mumbai. They posted videos from their respective locations.

The Met office has forecast more rain in the next 24 hours. Five people have reportedly died. Apart from roads, flight and train services have also been hit due to the rain, heaviest since 2005.
