Ittefaq Se is the only song in the film and it's a promotional one. "It's a song-less film. We will have a promotional song but it won't be part of the film," Juno, one of the co-producers of Ittefaq told news agency PTI.

Ittefaq is a remake of Rajesh Khanna's 1979 film of the same name and the new version will be directed by Abhay Chopra, BR Chopra's grandson, who produced the original film. Sidharth, Sonakshi and Akshaye's Ittefaq will be co-produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment and BR Films.

Sonakshi Sinha plays Maya, accused of murdering her husband and Sidharth Malhotra features as Vikram, accused of murdering his wife. Both of them claim that they aren't the killers and Akshaye Khanna's character is entrusted with the job of finding out the truth. "2 Murderers, 2 Suspects, 2 Versions," reads the tagline of Ittefaq first posters.
