The Bachchans are known to host one of the biggest Diwali parties in the showbiz circle - their Diwali bashes have continued to remain red-letter days with the creme-de-la-creme of the film industry and celebrities from other walks of life pouring in. Their guest list for the past years have included names like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Sonam Kapoor, Sachin Tendulkar, Ranbir Kapoor and family. About the changed scenario, Big B wrote a lengthy post on his official blog. Here's an excerpt: "A bereavement in the family restricts all .. and there is such this year and so. But the prayers and the other formalities shall prevail .. and the visits to other celebrations shall continue, and the love and affection within shall ever remain .. to hope to wish to acknowledge each other and gift them the joys of togetherness and happiness.. (sic)."

Earlier this week, Jaya Bachchan was spotted at Ekta Kapoor's Diwali party. Amitabh Bachchan joined her for a recent Diwali bash hosted by Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar.
