Veteran actress Savita Bajaj, recently diagnosed with a lung condition, has received financial help from the likes of actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Jackie Shroff, reported Times Of India. In an interview with ETimes. CINTAA (Cine & TV Artists Association) care committee member Nupur Alankar revealed that Ayushmann helped out with a money transfer, following which CINTAA could clear Savita Bajaj's medical bills and discharge her from the hospital: "Actress Rajeshwari Sachdeva had posted on her Instagram about Savitaji, Ayushmaan called her and transferred the money which was a huge relief for us, as we were able to discharge her from the hospital.''
The TOI report also stated that "Jackie Shroff too has helped Savita Bajaj by transferring a decent amount into her account."
"Sonu Sood has donated an oxygen concentrator which will also be of use to her," Nupur Alankar added. Savita Bajaj has been diagnosed with emphysema, a lung condition for which she will require oxygen support. According to the report, CINTAA has been helping out Savita Bajaj with medical assistance and a monthly allowance for the past few years.
Savita Bajaj, who was in the hospital for 25 days, is currently staying with Nupur Alankar's sister. "I am feeling better. Nupur has been like a Godsend to me. She assured me that she would be by my side throughout and kept her word," the actress told the publication.
Earlier this month, CINTAA reached out to actress Shagufta Ali after she revealed she's broke and battling health issues.
