New Delhi: Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu's much-anticipated film SPYder will release across 800 screens in the US on September 27, making it the biggest release in the actor's career so far, reports news agency IANS. "800 screens have been locked so far for the release of SPYder," read a statement released by Atmus Entertainment, the US distributor of the film, reported IANS. SPYder would be the second biggest Telugu release in US after S S Rajamouli's epic film Baahubali: The Conclusion, which released in over 1,000 screens. SPYder, the Telugu-Tamil bilingual spy thriller stars Mahesh Babu as an Intelligence Bureau officer and hits the screens in India on September 26.

Actress Rakul Preet Singh stars opposite Mahesh Babu in the A R Murugadoss-directed film. Of co-starring with Mahesh Babu, Rakul, earlier told IANS, "Sometimes you sign a project because you want to work with a certain director. In the case of Spyder, I signed the film even before I heard the narration because of the combination. I have always wanted to work with Murugadoss sir and also with Mahesh Babu."

Mahesh and A R Murugadoss have collaborated for the first time for a project. For Murugadoss, filming SYPder was a 'taxing experience.' "We had even filmed some silence sequences twice to ensure authenticity in details for both Tamil and Telugu. It was a taxing experience. It's definitely not an easy task to make an authentic bilingual," he told PTI.

SPYder has been made under a budget of approximately Rs 120 crore. Actor, filmmaker SJ Suryah stars as the prime antagonist in the film.
