Aditya Pancholi's Defamation Case Against Kangana Ranaut 'Has Nothing To Do With Hrithik Roshan'

New Delhi: Aditya Pancholi is also on the list of celebrities Kangana Ranaut mentioned in her explosive interviews during the promotions of Simran earlier this year. Speaking on national television, Kangana had alleged an affair with Aditya Pancholi, adding that he had her on house arrest during the initial days of her career as an actress and that Mr Pancholi's wife Zarina Wahab was well aware of his obsession with Kangana. According to fresh reports on Friday, Mr Pancholi and Zarina Wahab have decided to take legal action by registering a defamation case against the actress. Speaking to Bombay Times, Aditya Pancholi said: "I am not angry, but I am definitely hurt by Kangana's act."

Mr Pancholi had earlier told the media he will retaliate to Kangana's many allegations with a legal response. Now, he said legal notices were sent to Kangana and her sister Rangoli Chandel asking them to apologise but was met with a cold response. "We asked them to apologise unconditionally on the same national platforms where Kangana made those derogatory remarks against me. Eventually, her sister and she dragged even my son, daughter and wife into all this. That's the reason Zarina and I decided to file a defamation case against her, which is both civil and criminal," he told Bombay Times. Aditya Pancholi's son, actor Sooraj, had quit Twitter sometime in September saying, "I have nothing against anyone and I would like to keep away from the mess."

The curious case of the Kangana Ranaut-Aditya Pancholi controversy is picking up steam days after Hrithik Roshan dismissed Kangana's array of accusations in a strongly-worded statement. In short, Kangana has been claiming to have a romantic relationship with Hrithik, which he continues to deny. Kangana and Aditya Pancholi are reported to have been in some sort of a relationship during the initial days of her career, that was long before she acclaims to have begun dating Hrithik. Speaking to Bombay Times, Mr Pancholi said, his case is not related to the Hrithik-Kangana feud in any way.

"My case against Kangana has nothing to do with what is happening between Hrithik and her. Hrithik can deal with his own issues, but I'm clear that I will not keep quiet about whatever is bothering me," he said in the interview.

Kangana had also spoken elaborately about Hrithik on the same interviews she had alleged an affair with Mr Pancholi. While Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab had responded almost immediately, the Roshans spoke up only earlier this month. Support for Hrithik has poured in on social media with posts from the likes of Farhan Akhtar, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Twinkle Khanna and Karan Johar. In a new tweet on Tuesday, Hrithik urged fans and followers to "not take sides" in the controversial public feud.
