Delhi election 2020 will take place on February 8 and Delhi poll results will be released three days later on February 11, Tuesday. The voting on 70 Delhi assembly seats will take place in a single phase.

Delhi election is witnessing a triangular contest between AAP, BJP and Congress. While Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia had been leading fight for AAP, the BJP's campaign in Delhi has seen Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, as it held over 5,000 rallies, election meetings, and roadshows during its campaign for the Delhi Assembly polls. The Congress, meanwhile, fielded Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh, Shashi Tharoor, Navjot Singh Sidhu, besides interim president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and ex-PM Manmohan Singh.

The Election Commission announced the Delhi Assembly Election date on January 6, following which the model code of conduct was put in place. The current term of the Delhi Assembly ends on February 22.

According to the final electoral roll published, over 1.47 crore residents are eligible to vote in Delhi Election 2020. There are a total of 1,47,86,382 people -- 81,05,236 men, 66,80,277 women and 869 belonging to the third gender -- in the final voters' list of Delhi Election.

Delhi Election Results will decide whether AAP - which had won a landslide victory in the last polls winning 67 of 70 seats - will retain power or the BJP focus on focus on the development work done by the Centre for the national capital have moved voters towards the party. The Congress - conspicuous by its near absence - has claimed it may spring a surprise when the election results are announced, like it did in the elections in neighbouring Haryana last year.
