NEET Result 2019: National Testing Agency or NTA has released the NEET UG 2019 result. The NEET result for the exams held on May 5 and May 20 will be released on the website, ntaneet.nic.in. "The results will be announced tomorrow," an official told NDTV on Tuesday. More than 15 lakh students had registered for the NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test this year. NEET UG is held for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses. The NEET results will be available from the official website of NTA using the registration details. NTA will release qualifying status of students and their All India Ranks. The merit list for All India Quota seats and State Quota seats will be drawn on the basis of the All India Ranks of students.

NEET 2019 State Quota Seat Counselling
Counselling on State Quota seats will be conducted by respective state departments for medical education. The merit list of counselling on state quota seats will be drawn on the basis of All India Ranks released by NTA.

NTA Releases Final Answer Key For NEET
NTA has released the final answer key for NEET UG examination. The final answer key was prepared after resolution of all the objections received on the preliminary answer key.
NEET 2019 Qualifying Criteria
"In order to be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses for a particular academic year, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain minimum of marks at 50th percentile in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test to MBBS/BDS Courses held for the said academic year. However, in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks shall be at 40th percentile. In respect of candidates with Bench Mark Disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the minimum marks shall be at 45th percentile for unreserved category candidates and 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC candidates."
NEET 2019 Result: Inter-se MeritIn case two candidates obtain same marks in the NEET exam, the inter-se merit will be decided as follows:
- Candidate obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test, followed by,
- Candidate obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the Test, followed by,
- Candidate with less number of attempted incorrect answers in all the subjects in the Test, followed by,
- Candidate older in age
NEET 2018 Topper's Success Mantra
In 2018, Kalpana Kumari from Bihar topped in NEET UG exam. Sharing her success mantra, Kalpana said, "I studied NCERT books and coaching material carefully. I also appeared for several mock tests." Mock tests, she said, are extremely important. She feels that students must keep giving mock tests to gauge their performance from time to time, this would help them in not making the same mistakes again.

Although NTA has not yet confirmed the time for NEET result declaration, the result is expected by 6:00 pm today.
NEET 2019 Exam Dates
NEET 2019 exam was conducted on May 5. However, some students missed the exam in Karnataka due to train delay. NEET exam was conducted again for these students on May 20. NTA also conducted NEET exam again for students in cyclone Fani-hit areas in Odisha on May 20.

Last year the cut-off for the general category was 119 marks and for SC/ST and OBC categories it was 96. For candidates with special needs, the cut-off was between 107-118.

In 2018, Kalpana Kumari from Bihar topped in NEET UG exam. She scored 691 marks out of the total 720 marks.

NEET result 2019: No revaluation of the resultsAccording to National Testing Agency (NTA), there is no provision for re-checking or re-evaluation of the answer sheets.
This is because of the following reasons, NTA said:
The candidates are given an opportunity to make the representation on the OMR gradation of their OMR sheets and also given an opportunity to challenge the answer key in case of any doubt.
The OMRs are machine gradable which are being evaluated through specific software impartial to all.
NEET result 2019: No category-wise results sheet
According to NTA, no category wise NEET result sheet will be prepared. As soon as the NEET result is ready, NTA will host the results on the website and thereafter candidates may download the result sheets.
NEET result 2019: All India rank
An all India merit list of the qualified candidates will be prepared on the basis of all India rank in the merit list of the NEET 2019 and candidates will be admitted to MBBS/BDS Courses from the said list only by following the already existing reservation policy. NTA will provide all India rank.
NEET result 2019: Expected cut-off this year
"The expected general cut off for NEET qualified would vary between 125-135. But for admissions in colleges the cut off may vary 510-520," said Navin C Joshi, Academic head and VP at Gradeup.
