New Delhi: NEET, the national level entrance exam held for undergraduate admission in medical and dental courses in the country, has been conducted across the country today. The 2019 edition of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) has started in the afternoon at 2.00 pm and ended at 5.00 pm. Meanwhile, in Odisha, in the wake of the aftermath of Cyclone Fani which pounded coastal parts of the state ravaging across 10,000 villages and 52 urban areas, National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the examination as per the request of the state government. The Agency, the official agency which is mandated by Central education ministry to organise entrance exams, said the revised dates for Odisha candidates will be announced soon. In another related development on May 2, the Agency had announced changes in centres for certain candidates in some selected states on account of upcoming general elections. Next stage in the NEET examination is the release of NEET answer keys, which will be released on the official website, ntaneet.nic.in.

NEET 2019: 100s miss exam after train delay
According to Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy, hundreds of students from North Karnataka districts missed the NEET exam due to a 7-hour delay of the Hampi Express. A last-minute change in the exam centres and lack of proper communication of the same has created confusion among students, chief minister's handle said. The students were supposed to appear their exams in Bengaluru.
NEET 2019 exam to be over soon

NEET entrance exam hall rules
According to National Testing Agency (NTA), no candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before the conclusion of the NEET test. After the completion of the examination, the candidates must hand over the OMR answer sheet to the Invigilator and the candidates will only be permitted to take away with them only the test booklet.

NEET 2019: Things not allowed inside the test centreCandidates are not allowed to carry instrument/ geometry/ pencil box, handbag, purse, any kind of paper/ stationery/ textual material (printed or written material), eatables and water (loose or packed), mobile phone/ ear phone/ microphone/ pager, calculator, docupen, slide rules, log tables, camera, tape recorder, to wear/carry any type of watch including electronic watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the examination hall/room.
NEET 2019: Items allowed inside the test centresFollowing items are allowed inside the test centres:
- Admit Card downloaded from the NTA website (a clear preferably colour printout on A4 size paper) affixed a passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the online application form).
- One Passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form) to be pasted on the attendance sheet at the Centre.
-A valid Photo ID Proof in ORIGINAL (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E- Aadhaar/Ration Card).
- PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category.
