Good Discussion with PM Modi on Obama Visit, Says John Kerry: Highlights
- For the Indian and American people, there is a sense of shared excitement at possibilities
- Seen remarkable transformations that have taken place since then (when Manmohan Singh was Finance Minister)
- We're beginning to breakthrough on kinds of things that are needed for economic investment
- During my discussion with PM Modi, we reviewed the progress of our economic relationship and how to take it ahead
- We can do more to enhance this economic relationship and we'll continue to work on it, both of us
- US investment in India have risen from $2.4 billion to 28 billion
- The PM has a very ambitious plan that every home in India has 24-hour electricity and we hope we can do a great deal to help with that
