Senior Andhra Pradesh officials to NDTV on Cyclone Hudhud's impact on the state:
- Equipment of the Indian Meteorological Department got destroyed where the eye of the storm was at Kailashgiri
- 70-80 per cent trees in Vizag destroyed.
- Critical installations are safe
- Rail service has been restored. Air services are non-functional
- Vijayawada- Vizag highway has been cleared
- Relief centres will continue as many people have lost their homes
- Vizag virtually needs to be rebuilt.
- Damage to properties on beach road
